About This Nassau Tour
Bid farewell to that stiff, stuffy traditional menu at some random restaurant. Instead, shout "ola!" to a tantalizing, traditionally Brazilian experience with a deep-rooted Bahamian twist. Inside Graycliff, a graceful mainstay synonymous with Nassau's heritage, discover a wild gastronomic show that verges on sinful. What a concept.
That's "churrascaria" (pronounced "choo-rah-scah-ree-ah"), a restaurant that cooks meat in churrasco style, which roughly translates from the Portuguese for "barbecue." Thank the southern Brazil gauchos (cowboys of a sort) from centuries ago. Their fireside roasts forged the distinctive rotisserie method you'll indulge in at this modern rodizio-style (all-you-care-to-eat) establishment.
Call it whatever you want. At GoBe, we think it’s Carnival for your every sense. Shimmy into a bash with a tropical garden backdrop so lush, it might as well be the Amazon. Be greeted by a luscious aroma and tempting sizzle, as well as an ice-cold caipirinha. You'll get two, or your choice of wine, beer, or non-boozy beverages.
Until you say "when," your passadore (meat waiter) parades platter after platter to your table. Juicy, heaping portions of decadently seasoned, grilled, and skewered chicken, pork, beef, lamb, and more. Samba down the buffet, ranging from salads and bean dishes to savory Brazilian specialties. Pescatarians and vegetarians party, too, with fresh fish and plant-based items available. Trips are unlimited. Just remember to pack your appetite…and save room for dessert!
We feel a cough coming on
Never had the pleasure of a caipirinha? You're in for a sweet treat. It's said to have origins as a home remedy for the Spanish flu and is still used for the common cold. The drink is concocted by smashing limes and sugar together, and then adding cachaca (sugarcane hard liquor). Sometimes prepared in a single, large glass or jar, Brazilians often share it among each other. It must be popular: the caipirinha is their country's national cocktail.
