About this Cozumel tour
Scuba divers and snorkelers have been flocking to Cozumel, surrounded by thousands of miles of barrier reef on all sides, for decades. The famous Jacques Cousteau was the one who spread the word about it, after he took an unforgettable diving excursion there in 1960.
You'll soon find out what old Jacques was talking about when you come face-to-face with El Cielo and Columbia reefs. These reefs are second only to the Great Barrier Reef in size and second to none in fun.
Swim carefully as you explore this teeming underground treasure of sea life and color, because the coral here isn't just pretty: it's also the home to a wide variety of creatures like angelfish, black groupers, and octopi.
Experience an attraction that is equally beautiful for very different reasons: the open bar on board your snorkel boat. Celebrate your snorkeling trip through the water by drinking in your adult beverage of choice.
You can see the water from a very different perspective at the Playa Mia Grand Beach & Water Park, where you will enjoy attractions like parasailing, a hydro massage tub, and the island's only floating obstacle course that features water trampolines and aquatic icebergs. Please consider that some of these optional amenities, such as á-la-carte menu, sodas, cash bar, massaging, snorkel gear rental, wave runners, parasailing, and others, are available for an additional fee at the park. Ask your host for prices.
From Mother Nature's beauty to man-made water attractions, all the excitement and tranquility you want is waiting for you there.
Coral formations off the island of Cozumel are a part of the Mesoamerican Reef, the largest in the western hemisphere. Though it may seem like one formation, coral is actually composed of millions of small dead and living animals known as polyps, each of which is roughly the size of a teacup. Because it feeds on photosynthesis using the sun's energy, coral is more prevalent in shallow waters.
