These icons have either shaped or are shaping the world we live in today. And you won't want to miss this location's local heroes.

Leave your heart in San Francisco with Tony Bennett. Audition for Francis Ford Coppola. Rally in the Castro with Harvey Milk. Additionally, the museum pays homage to feisty Orange Is The New Black transgender actress and LGBT advocate, Laverne Cox,
In the A-List Zone, feel like you are partying the night away with Neil Patrick Harris, Jimmy Fallon, George Clooney, and Anne Hathaway. In the Film Zone, re-enact famous movie scenes, like biking with E.T. or chilling with Audrey Hepburn.
The museum's wax creations aren't just about people anymore. Grumpy Cat now has her own figure, making her the first cat at the museum. You'll also get to learn about how the wax figures are made, and how Madame Tussaud got her start. Hint: it's a darker story than you can imagine.
Wax artists go to extreme lengths to make sure that their creations are hard to distinguish from the real thing. Each figure costs roughly $125,000 and takes about four months to make. The artists take over 250 measurements and photographs for each subject. In some cases, actual celebrity possessions are used on figures, after being acquired through donation or auction.
