      Cairns Jet Boat Ride Tour

      Cairns, Australia
From (USD) $62 Per Adult / $35 Per Child
      • Bad Fishy: This jet boat is painted like a clownfish, one of the most iconic fishes of the Great Barrier Reef; yes, just like little Nemo, but moves a hell of lot faster. Hang on for a high-octane adventure outside Cairns.
      • Fun for all ages: Experience thrills and chills as the jet boat twists and turns around the Trinity Inlet. It's like being on a roller coaster – only cooler and wetter.
      • Narrated tour: The Bad Fishy's captain makes the ride captivating by telling you interesting tidbits about Cairns and the local exotic wildlife visible on the tour.
      About This Cairns Tour

Want a fun way to see the local sights in Cairns, and experience a thrill ride, all at the same time? Then the Bad Fishy is for you. This high-speed jet boat takes you on an Australian adventure that you'll never forget.

You're going to get wet – very wet – as the Bad Fishy takes you on a rollicking trip around the Trinity Inlet, the waterway adjacent to Cairns. So put on the provided life vest over your casual clothes or swimsuit as you hang on for the ride of your life. You'll get soaked, but you'll love it. What a great way to cool off on a hot day.

When it comes to your 35-minute jet boat ride, your captain doesn't just give you an extreme ride, with high-speed spins, slides, twists, and turns that rival any thrill ride adventure. You'll also get to hear fascinating facts about the tropical paradise of Cairns. The Queensland city was founded in 1876, and became a valuable port. And in World War II, the port was used as a staging area for the Allies. Your guide will tell you tidbits about Cairns' importance in the war, as well as life in the city today.

Cairns is a popular destination these days because of its closeness to the Great Barrier Reef, the largest coral reef in the world. The area also hosts a variety of wildlife native to Australia. You'll see mangrove trees, birds, fish, and maybe even a crocodile. After your adventure is over, dry off and let the memories wash over you.

      What a croc

Australia isn't just known for kangaroos and koalas. It also has both saltwater and freshwater crocodiles that live in Queensland. So how do you tell the difference between the two reptiles? The freshwater crocs are smaller, have a narrower snout, and are more of a brownish color, while the saltwater crocs resemble American alligators. Also, the saltwater ones have uneven teeth. But you don't want to get close enough to notice that.
