      About This Sydney Tour

To "go bush" is an Aussie saying that means getting out of the city to experience nature. And right on Sydney's doorstep is the dramatic wilderness of the world-famous Blue Mountains National Park. This is your chance to go bush – and to enjoy a fantastic adventure.

The thrills start right away. Taking off from Sydney and soaring above the city, you'll have unforgettable views of the harbor with its famous Opera House and the majestic Harbour Bridge. As the city's skyscrapers recede, the spectacular Blue Mountains loom ahead. Only from the air can you take in the magnificent expanse of dense forests, sandstone cliffs, rugged canyons, and tumbling waterfalls.

As you touch down, you'll feel your spirit of adventure rising. Step off the 'copter, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and say G'Day to your guide. From the comfort of a four-wheel drive vehicle, you'll travel deep into the beauty of the Blue Mountains, while your guide shares stories about the region's heritage, environment, and ancient legends.

You'll have plenty of time to snap photos of natural beauties like the Three Sisters. An Aboriginal legend about this massive three-spired rock says the sisters were temporarily turned to stone by a sorcerer to stop them from being involved with brothers from another tribe. But the brothers killed the sorcerer and the young women were forever trapped in stone. Gazing at the magnificent views around them, you might feel a little envious of their fate.

      Nature's blue aura

More than 90 species of Eucalyptus trees grow in the Blue Mountain National Park, forming a dense canopy above this rugged landscape. These trees fill the atmosphere with fine droplets of oil, which combine with dust particles and water vapor to create a haze that envelops the region. It's this haze that gives the air a bluish tint and inspired the name for this nature lover's paradise.
