Buzios Schooner Cruise
- Smooth sailing: Relax with a drink and soak up the scenic beauty of the peninsula and its silvery beaches from the deck of an elegant schooner.
- Around The peninsula: Buzios may have more beaches per square mile than anyplace in the world, and we'll sail past just about all of them. Plus a few islands.
- Swim stops or not: You'll anchor off three of the best beaches, including the one on beautiful "Ugly Island." Swim near the boat, head for shore, or get some snorkeling in.
About this Buzios tour
Welcome to a place with so many beaches that even people who live there aren't even sure of the number. You could literally stretch out on a different one every day for two weeks. And possibly three. This cruise sails by most of them, stopping at three. It all adds up to one unforgettable day.
You'll visit Joao Fernandes Beach, Ilha Feia (Ugly Island), and Tartaruga Beach. Jump on in for some free diving or snorkeling. The water is a clear emerald green that lets you see all kinds of marine life, in all kinds of colors, thanks to the cold ocean currents pushing up from Antarctica. See clusters of coral, green turtles, giant stingrays, and more. Maybe you'll catch the sun glinting off something in the sand: a gold piece dropped by a careless buccaneer centuries ago. Okay, that's not likely. But you can dream.
Swim for shore and enjoy a golden welcome to a place with so many beaches that even people who live here aren't even sure of the number. You could literally stretch out on a different one every day for two weeks. And possibly three. This cruise sails by most of them, stopping at three. It all adds up to one unforgettable day.
Beauty is sand deep
Feia means ugly in Portuguese, and Ilha Feia (Ugly Island) got its name because it was discovered from the north side, which is rocky and just ... not very attractive. But the beaches on the south side more than make up for it. In fact, Feia's unusual rock formations led a UNESCO geologist to designate the island "a masterpiece of nature." Proving that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, depending on the angle you're beholding from.
