About this Itajai tour
Rainforests and beaches: the two things most people associate with Brazil. And the best part about this particular tour is that it combines both at Parque Unipraias, a nearly 15-acre urban preserve in the heart of Camboriu.
There are 37 miles of walking trails and, no, you won't be walking all of them. But the terrain you do cover, mostly via cable car will feel like you're flying over Brazil's incredible flora and fauna. The 360-degree panoramic view of Camboriu from the Barra Sul Station will take your breath away as your eyes wander from sea to forest and back again. Naval ships inspired this three-level architecturally designed station, which helps it blend so well between rainforest and shoreline.
The Atlantic Forest Station is the heart of this park, home to walking trails and viewing platforms that will mesmerize you with the beauty of Brazil's ecosystem. Signposts detail the native flora, but what may strike you most are the lengths taken to protect these stunning natural assets.
Hop a ride down to Orange Station. Seashells found along the Brazilian coastline inspired the station's shape, which features an architectural spiral. There you'll find a stunning beach, where you'll have time for kayaking, swimming, snacking, or just chilling on the sand. After all, this is Brazil and if there's one things Brazilians like to do, it's go to the coast and soak up the sun.
A 40-year journey in half an hour
In the 1950s, Brazilian entrepreneur Normando Tedesco barely survived the crash of a small plane on Camboriu Beach. But what really knocked him out was the sheer beauty of the place. So he bought it, with plans for mountain cable cars like those he'd seen in Europe and the U.S. He died before he could make his dream a reality, and it wasn't until 1999 that the bondinho first made the 30-minute climb up Aguada Mountain.
Please proceed pier side and look for our GoBe Representative with the displayed logo sign.
Enjoy the view and many restaurants in Laranjeiras Beach (lunch is not included and is on your own).
Travelers should be steady on their feet and comfortable boarding the cable cars and walking over paved ground at Una Park. Vehicles are not wheelchair accessible.
