Aligning Items

If you select two or more objects, the graphics environment can align the items for you. You can align both shapes and frames.

To align an item:

1. Place the items in the general order you want them to appear.

2. Select the items you want to align. You can either draw a selection box around the items you want to align, or hold down the <Shift> key and click on the items.

3. Use one of the Alignment tools on the Standard Toolbar, or select an alignment by choosing one of the options from the Modify menu's Align command. Choices are:

• Align Left, Right, or Center (vertical alignment).

• Align Top, Center, or Bottom (horizontal alignment).

• Space Horizontally or Vertically (distribute space between objects).

• Align to Grid.
