Editing a Gradient
Display the Ink panel. You can access the Ink panel by:
Clicking the panel icon in the Line, Fill, or Text Color tool.
Selecting View>Panels>Ink.
Click on the tab corresponding to the type of color you want to change (Font, Line, or Fill).
Double-click the gradient you want to change. An Edit Gradient dialog box is displayed.
Select the Type of gradient:
A directional gradient transitions colors from in one direction.
A radial gradient transitions colors in a circle around a single point.
Select the number of Colors you want to use in the gradient. You can use up to four colors in a gradient. The buttons beside the Colors button allow you to select the colors to use in the gradient. Click and hold these buttons to select a color.
Click and drag the gradient handles in the gradient orientation circle (left side of the window). This changes the direction and orientation for the gradient. The hollow circle sets the diffusion point (where the gradient changes colors). The solid circle sets the directional angle. You can also use the Angle field to set an exact directional angle. This does not affect a radial gradient.
Click OK when you have finished editing the gradient. You may need to re- apply the gradient to the graphic item. Or, click Revert to revert back to the existing gradient on the palette and continue editing, or Cancel to quit editing the gradient without saving changes.
