Setting the Fill Color

All graphic objects have a fill property. Fill refers to the color, gradient, or pattern inside an item. Any graphic item, including frames, can have a fill property.  Fill color also determines the background color for cells in a spreadsheet.

Use the Fill Color tool on the Format Toolbar to format an item's fill. You can also display the Ink panel if you will be editing several items. To format the fill:

1. Select the item you want to format.

2. Choose the Fill Color tool from the Format Bar. Or, display the Ink panel and choose the Fill tab.

3. Select the desired color, pattern, or gradient.

You can also set the transparency level of the fill.
