Moving Items

There are three ways to position items on a page in the gobeProductive suite: by using the mouse, keyboard, or position fields.

Moving Items using the Mouse

  1. Select the item. If the item is a frame, make sure the frame is not active. You cannot move a frame while it is active.

  2. Use the mouse to “grab” the item.

  3. Move the item. If Snap To is on, the item “snaps” to the gradients in the grid. For more information about Snap To, see “Grids and Grid Modes”.

Moving Items using the Keyboard

You can also move items using the arrow keys on the keyboard. If Snap To is on, the arrow keys move an item based on the grid. If Snap To is off, the item is moved a screen pixel at a time. This can be very useful for finely controlling the placement of an item on a page. For more information about Snap To, see “Grids and Grid Modes”.

Moving Items using Position Fields

Another option for placing an item on the page is to use the position fields in the Graphics Toolbar. These fields allow you to provide exact placement coordinates.

The unit of measurement for these fields is established by your Preferences settings.
