Using Drawing Tools

The drawing tools for the gobeProductive suite are located on the Drawing Toolbar. If the Toolbar is not displayed, select View>Toolbars>Drawing or click the Drawing Tools button on the Standard Toolbar. You can draw graphic shapes in any gobeProductive environment.

 

To use a drawing tool:

 

  1. Click the Drawing Toolbar button for the kind of shape you want to draw.

  2. Position the cursor anywhere in the workspace.

  3. Click and hold the mouse button and drag out the shape.

 

The following shapes are provided:

 

Rectangle

Draws a square or rectangle.

 

Ellipse

Draws circles or ovals.

 

Round Rectangle

Draws a rectangle with rounded corners.

 

Arc

Draws a curve.

 

 

Line

Draws a line.

 

Freehand

Draws a freehand shape. To draw a freehand object, hold down the mouse button while you drag-out the shape you want. You can edit curves and corners later using the reshape tools.

 

Bezigon

Draws a Bezier curve. A Bezier curve is very useful for designing curved objects in which the radius changes. To draw a Bezier curve, click once and drag out the first line, then click at each point where you want the curve to bend. When finished, press <Enter>.

 

Polygon

Draws a polygon shape. To draw a polygon, click the polygon button then drag-out the first edge for the shape and release the mouse button.  Move the cur­sor and click at each corner of the shape. When fin­ished, press <Enter>.

 

Shapes

Draws any number of pre-defined shapes. For more information about creating pre-defined shapes and adding them to this palette, see "Adding or Deleting Pre-Defined Shapes".
