The gobeProductive Menu

The gobeProductive menu, which appears at the top of the gobeProductive interface, displays the menus associated with the current environment (active document or frame). Each environment has its own special menu items; however, the following items are common across all environments:

 

File

Commands to open, create, save, and close documents, download and upload files to the Internet, and attach documents to e-mail.

 

Edit

Commands to cut, copy, paste items, find and change text, and undo and redo actions.

 

View

Commands to modify the working view of your document, including zooming, showing grid lines, setting the page view, showing or hiding headers and footers, and deciding which tools and panels to display.

 

Tools

Common commands for editing your document's text content, including spelling, dictionary, and word count tools. You can also set gobeProductive preferences from this menu.

 

Window

 

Commands that allow you to open new windows to the same document (for example, to view two separate places in a long text document simultaneously). You can also manipulate the appearance of these windows using this menu.

 

Help

Commands that enable you to view this document, download updates from Gobe, and view version information.

 

The following menus are specific to particular environments.

 

Data

Commands to manipulate cells (moving, sorting, filling), set the worksheet size, and set calculation options. Active in the Spreadsheet environment.

 

Format

Commands for formatting text fonts, styles, tabs, bullets and numbers, and columns (Word Pro­cessing), or formatting cells including height and width, number formatting, and lock status (Spreadsheet).

 

Image

Commands to manipulate images, such as crop, unfloat, and invert selection. Active in the Image Pro­cessing environment.

 

Insert

Commands to insert frames, special text (such as symbols or formulas), automatically generated text (such as dates or page numbers), and breaks in a Word Processing document or frame.

 

Modify

Commands to manipulate single graphic items or alter the relationship between multiple items (grouping, aligning, locking).

 

Plug-ins

Commands for retouching images. Active in the Image Processing environment.

 

Presentation

Commands specific to running a slide show presenta­tion. Active in the Presentations environment.

 

Table

Commands to insert and delete table rows and columns, set the cell gutter, and distribute table rows and columns. Active in the Word Processing environment when a table is selected.
