Setting the Page Margins
Page margins refer to the amount of white space between the edge of the paper and the workspace. All documents have four margins: top, bottom, left, and right. The margins are the same for all pages in the document.
To set the page margins:
Select Page Setup from the File menu. The Page Setup dialog box is displayed. Margins are shown in whatever the default unit of measurement is for the document. For more information on changing the default unit of measurement, see “Preferences”.
Enter the left, top, right, and bottom margins.
To display the margins on the workspace as page guides, check Show Page Guides in the Options box. This is the default setting. If you do not want to display the page guides, uncheck this option.
Click OK when finished.
You can change the document margins at any time. Items located outside of the margins will not print.
