Creating a New Style
Format the text, spreadsheet cell, image, or graphic item as you would like it to appear for the style.
Make sure the item you want to use as the template for the new style is selected.
Select New from the Styles tool. A New Style dialog box is displayed.
Enter a style name.
Choose the style from which you would like to copy attributes, by making a selection from the Based On drop-down list. If you select None, a new blank style is created.
Set the style type. If you want the style to appear in all document types, select Basic. If you want the style to appear only in the type of document you are working on, select Paragraph or Outline (word processing), Image Processing, Spreadsheet, or Graphics.
Click OK to create the new style. Click Cancel to return to the document without adding the new style.
Once you create the style, you can apply it to items in your document. You can also edit it to make further changes.
