Linking into a Spreadsheet

This document (click to download), named " Number linked to text," shows you how to link into a spreadsheet so that numbers in your text will change when the values in the spreadsheet change.

99 Undo Levels!

In the Application Preferences you can set how many levels of Undo you want the program to remember, all the way up to 99. You can even set this to be saved when you save the document. Save the document, open it again, and you can Undo things you did before saving.

Drawing a Spreadsheet into a Page of Text

For a quick way to get the " feel" of GoBeProductive, start a new Word Processing document and put some text on the page. Then, from the View menu turn on the Drawing Toolbar.   This toolbar will appear on the left side of the document.   Use its Spreadsheet Tool, which is the 3rd icon down from the Selection Tool arrow, and " draw" a working spreadsheet right onto that page of text.

Two Ways to Place a Graphic in Text-In-Line (Anchored) and Free-Floating

There are two ways to place a graphic in a text document - anchored, (also called in-line), or free-floating.   An anchored graphic stays in its position in the text so if you add or remove text above the graphic, the graphic moves with the text it was placed with. A free-floating graphic can be dragged around on the page.

To place a graphic into the text as in-line (anchored): Click in the text so there is a blinking insertion point, then paste.

To place a graphic into the text as Free-Floating: Click on the Selection Tool, then paste the graphic. (Note - in a Word Processing document this drops the picture on the center of the page, which might be off screen. You may need to scroll down. OR click to the left of the text margin, and then paste, and the picture will go there.)

In the above examples you can also drag and drop an icon of a file containing a graphic, or you can use the Insert File Tool to open a graphic file.
