      Private Tour of Habsburg Prague

      Prague, Czech Republic
From (USD) $321 Per Guide (Maximum 6 Guests)
      • Skip the crowds: This leisurely 3-hour walking tour is for individuals and select groups with no more than six persons.
      • Guided Tour: Questions are encouraged. Your docent is a Ph.D. or MA level expert on the history of Prague and Czechoslovakian society who will lead your exploration without using a script.
      • Bethlehem Chapel: Follow in the footsteps of rebels and reformers. This medieval church owes its fame to its association with Bohemian reformers, most notably Jan Hus, a predecessor of Protestant thinking who was duly excommunicated.
      • Basilica of St James: Listen for the sounding of the basilica’s magnificent pipe organ. Baroque and beautiful, this Franciscan church is known for its music.
      • Old Town Square: Look down and you will see crosses on the pavement marking the spots where leaders of the Bohemian Revolt were executed in 1621. On this site, we will discuss the Jesuit influence on Prague and the Papal Counter-reformation.
      • St Nicholas (Malá Strana): Look up so that you don’t miss the frescoes adorning the church’s interior dome. St Nicholas is considered one of the premiere examples of Prague Baroque.
      • Vrtba Gardens: You’ll have to wait until the summer to tour the Baroque inspired Vrtba Gardens. The gardens are known for their ornate parquetry and statuary. Vrtba Gardens are listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Register.
      • Klementinum: In use since the 1100s, the Klementinum currently serves as the National Library of the Czech Republic. We will not enter the building as it is currently undergoing renovations.
      • Bring the little ones: Our docents are family friendly. This exciting tour is suitable for children ages 6 and up.
      • Ticketing flexibility: Tour tickets purchased on GoBe can be used any time the public buildings are open. So, if your travel plans change, there is no need to rebook. Don't like the weather? Go another day. Site entry tickets will be purchased on the day of the tour.
