      • Skip the crowds:  No tour group may have more than six members. Individual interaction with your expert guide who is a Ph.D. or MA level historian is encouraged. There is no script to be followed.
      • All Hallows-by-the-Tower:  Stand where the last church stands. Containing remnants of the Roman, Saxon, medieval, and modern periods, this is the oldest church in London. It survived the Great Fire of 1666 unscathed but was damaged during the Blitz of World War II.
      • The Gherkin (2004):  What a fine pickle this is. Known as The Gherkin for its distinctive shape, #30 St Mary Axe is a skyscraper building set midst medieval streets and low-rise housing. Its construction pioneered a building boom of futuristic high rise buildings in modern London. Tell us if you think it looks like a pickle.
      • Lloyd’s of London Building (1986):  You will wonder if you are in an alternate universe. Lloyd’s of London’s headquarters, the LOL building, also known as the Inside-Out Building, is a premiere example of Bowellism architecture. Its interior spaces are maximized by placing all ductwork and elevators external to the building. It is the youngest building on the Historic England register.
      • Leadenhall Market (14th Century):  Stroll the medieval streets of Leadenhall Market and its coffee houses, symbols of London’s rich trading history.
      • Guildhall (Medieval Town Hall):  Gog and Magog, in the form of statues still stand guard the entry to Guildhall. Legend has it that they were chained there by Brutus, the first king of Britain when the site was his castle. Guildhall is the only pre-1666 secular building to survive the Great Fire and the Blitz of World War II. The Guildhall area is also the site of a Roman amphitheater which can still be explored. (Optional tour stop.)
      • Bring the little ones:  Our docents are family friendly and can adapt their presentation styles to the learning styles of children. However please contact us directly if you have children under 13.
      • Keep your cash: None of our stops require entry fees. However, many accept donations if you are inclined to provide a tribute to your hosts.
      • Two miles in 3 hours: Our tour will cover level easily accessible ground at a leisurely pace.

In these cases we will seek to re-organize the walk to accommodate the change; however, our responsibility in these cases is limited and we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control.
