      Turku, Finland
      From (USD) $643 Per Person
      • Turku Sights: Experience a mini panoramic tour of the city, where River Aura, Aboa Vetus Museum and Turku Castle are based.
      • Flowpark: Test yourself as you partake in tasks at this ecological adventure park, where cable slides, swings and swaying paths don’t damage the trees.
      About This Turku Tour

A day spent at Flowpark will be one to remember and it will not leave a carbon footprint on the planet! Considered an earth-friendly theme park, it provides visitors old and young with a chance to test their courage by participating in a range of outdoor activities. Proven to improve balance and coordination, this team-building challenge also presents a sightseeing opportunity for Turku nature.

Each and every one of the trees you see at Flowpark will be living and in no way affected by the adventure trails built around them. Suitable for ages seven and above, the ropeways are positioned at different levels, with one suspended 20 meters above the ground. Three low ropeways are ideal for young ones and people with a fear of heights.

Harnesses and helmets will be given to you upon entering the Flowpark, and the friendly team of staff will provide instructions for equipment use. The adventure will enable you to unleash your courageous side as you try out the swings and liana jumps, walk along the swaying paths and fly past lush green canopies on cable slides.

Once you are satisfied with the adrenaline rush you get from experiencing 13 separate trails, hop back inside the comfortable coach and return to Turku. Should you have some energy left, browse goods at the vibrant Market Place, inspect art inside Aboa Vetus Museum and step back in time at Turku Castle. Don’t forget to stop by at one of Finland’s most important religious buildings –Turku Cathedral.

What Tree Species Are Native to Finland?

As the most heavily forested country in Europe, it’s not surprising that this country boasts a number of native tree species – four to be exact. Forestry makes up approximately 86 percent of the land and it is thanks to the Gulf Stream that the weather conditions are so favorable. Native tree species you could catch sight of at Flowpark include silver birch, downy birch, Scots pine and Norway spruce.
