Begin this experience from the meeting point in central Paris. You’ll first travel for approximately one hour and 30 minutes to Giverny aboard a comfortable air-conditioned coach. Once you arrive in the village of Giverny, explore the world of famous painter Claude Monet, notably known for his iconic Water Lilies and Japanese Bridge painting. Monet lived in Giverny for 43 years and was passionate about his gardens and nature’s ability to change colors. As you tour through the garden, admire the multicolored flower beds, the Clos Normand Flower Garden, and the iconic water garden famous for its water lilies and Japanese bridge.
Then, enjoy some free time to visit Claude Monet’s pink-plastered house where he lived and worked, the reading room, the yellow dining room, and the rest of the village. You may also buy souvenirs at the gift and bookshop which was once used as a studio for Monet’s water lilies. Before moving on to the Palace of Versailles, enjoy a delicious lunch at the Moulin de Fourges restaurant, just ten minutes away from Giverny.
In the afternoon, explore the Palace of Versailles and Gardens with an expert guide. Covering more than 721,000 square feet, the palace has over 700 rooms. With your guide, you’ll tour the King’s and Queen’s apartments and the majestic Hall of Mirrors which overlooks the palace’s splendid gardens. Then, continue to the outside where the gardens are located and tour this area at your own pace. Marvel at the works of art, fountains, ponds, flower beds, and grove trees during your stroll. At the end of this experience, you’ll be transported back to the meeting point in Paris.
