With French being the language of love, it's no wonder that "The Wall of I Love You ," a tiled mural displaying 1,000 love notes in over 300 languages, found a home in Montmartre, the most romantic of districts in the country's most romantic of cities. And atop Montmartre's hill is Place du Tertre, an artsy little square bustling with painters and portraitists. This is the intimate setting for your special night out.

You'll want to wear your fanciest threads to Restaurant La Cremaillere 1900, where you'll dine on a lavish four-course meal of fine French cuisine that will include your choice of starter, main course, cheese, and dessert. And, since this is France, there will be wine (of course!) to toast your evening together in magical Montmartre.

As you savor every morsel of your meal and enjoy each sip of wine, the sounds of live music will swirl around you. Whether a pianist or singer is on duty for the night, you'll find you can sing or hum right along (in your head, please!) because this entertainer will perform songs known and loved around the world. And a multilingual GoBe hostess will be right on hand for any necessary translations. Although we're all fluent in the language of love, food, wine, and music, right?

       Montmartre's Martyr

Way back in the third century, St. Denis was Paris' very first bishop. And he was good at his job. Maybe too good. His vast number of conversions eventually led to his arrest by the city's Roman rulers. The punishment handed down to St. Denis was death by beheading. Rumor has it that after the deed was done in Montmartre, he calmly collected his head and walked almost four miles before finally dropping dead. That is one headstrong bishop.
