Greek Food Tour for 6 Persons
- Varvakios Agora market: The center of Athens food culture is a vast, enclosed structure spilling onto side streets – a raucous mix of seafood, meat, vegetable, specialty, and spice markets that is one of the oldest and most colorful bazaars in Greece.
- A delight for all the senses: Experience the market's sights, sounds, smells, and, above all, tastes – from potent Greek coffee with sticky-sweet treats to thick, locally harvested honey over fresh Greek yogurt, and a seemingly infinite variety of olives, cheeses, and herbs.
- More than a guide: Even by GoBe standards, your tour leader is special. Known officially as "docents" (from the Latin for teacher), these experienced chefs and food experts know the best places for sampling and for a hearty sit-down lunch; by tour's end, you'll have a good grasp of the essentials of Greek cuisine.
Please meet in the lobby of your downtown-area hotel or a nearby central location. Let us know the name of your hotel when you reserve this tour so we know where to meet you. Your local expert awaits with a GoBe sign with your name.
