      • Santa Maria del Popolo: Discover the power in the church's two Caravaggio paintings from 1600-1601. The Crucifixion of St, Peter depicts the old saint  awaiting death; The Conversion of St. Paul features Paul's stunned expression.
      • San Luigi dei Francesi: The three Caravaggio paintings found here are among the most influential paintings ever created in Italy. Some believe it's because of Caravaggio being accused of murder that his works are often overlooked.
      • Church of Sant'Agostino: Enjoy Maddona of the Pilgrims, by Caravaggio, 1604, in the first chapel on the left. His use of chiaroscuro – contrasting light and dark for effect and purpose – is once again breathtaking.
      • Tridente neighborhood: Look beyond the touristy places and designer shops and you'll get a sense of the potentially dangerous times in which Caravaggio lived, and from where he drew the inspiration for realism in his work.
      • Expert guide: Enjoy an informative and enlightening discussion of the artistic concepts that define Caravaggio's place and influence in history with your guide, an experienced art historian.
      • Small group = more personal: Share your experience with only the people you know; enjoy the luxury of deeper interaction with your guide and a more flexible itinerary.
