      • Rome's legendary fried snacks: Starting near the Jewish Ghetto, these tasty snacks with a Jewish heritage have become a large part of traditional food in Rome. If in season, you can try carciofi – fried artichokes – a specialty of the city.
      • A slice of paradise: The number one street food in Rome is pizza – thin-crusted, Roman-style pizza. Try your favorite toppings, or something different, like pizza bianca (no sauce or cheese but amazing), or pizza fritti, with deep-fried veggies.
      • Caffeine break: Stop at a historic café near the Pantheon and enjoy a freshly-brewed coffee or cappuccino. Coffee has been a major part of Rome's culinary culture since the 16th century.
      • Sweet ending: Last but not least, you'll stop at a specialty gelateria for some incredible home-made gelato made with fresh ingredients from all over Italy. Classics are hazelnut and pistachio, but there are many mouth-watering choices.
      • Expert guide: Your guide for this delicious and informative tour of Rome street food will be a local food writer who will fill you with interesting information as well as great food.
      • Small group = more personal: Share your experience with only the people you know; enjoy the luxury of deeper interaction with your guide and a more flexible itinerary.

Please meet your guide outside the bar "Il Gelato", located at #14 Largo Arenula, just off of Largo di Torre Argentina (the sunken archaeological site at the intersection of Corso Vittorio & Via Arenula). Please refer to your confirmation voucher for more info about the meeting location.
