6-Person Skip the Line Colosseum Tour with an Archaeologist
Your reservation allows you to avoid the long line for the non-reserved public entrance to the Colosseum. Although we're skipping that line, please keep in mind that there is also a line for the reserved entrance. This line can be long but usually moves quickly. Any delay can be unpredictable--10 minutes one day, 30 minutes the next--regardless of what is written on the voucher. The Colosseum receives an average influx of 7,000 visitors daily. Patience is helpful.
Since fall 2013, the Colosseum has been undergoing renovations to its exterior and interior. This project that will clean the site, rebuild the exterior arches and reportedly open 25 percent more of the Colosseum's tunnels and cages to visitors. Throughout this period, some areas might become closed off to the public without any notice. This is likely to cause unexpected disruptions in addition to the overcrowding of the site. Unfortunately, these circumstances are beyond our control but rest assured that we are doing our best to mitigate the effects of necessary conservation work to the world's most ancient stadium. Due to the underground area of the Colosseum being fragile, access to this area is severely limited and is therefore not included in the tour.
Skip-the-Line Tickets to Colosseum.
Other entrance fees, meals, and/or transportation are not included, including Roman Forum and third tier of Colosseum.
