Zoom in on your passions: Gaze at the many Baroque-style historic buildings. Head to Basilica-Sanctuary of Maria Santissima Annunziata. Trapani's largest church combines Gothic architecture with a Baroque bell tower. Built in the 1300s as a Carmelite monastery, it's where you'll find the famous marble statue of the Madonna of Trapani as well as the Pepoli Museum.
Get out of town: While there is plenty to discover in Trapani, a great adventure awaits outside the city center. Built on the ruins of an ancient city, it's known for its Marsala wine and Stagnone Lagoon, a natural marine reserve with salt ponds.
