About this Kusadasi tour
Take off into the hills and countryside around Kusadasi on this action-packed full-day 4x4 safari. Board an open-top, all-terrain vehicle with an expert driver and travel in a convoy through dense forests and countryside to the edges of Dilek National Park. Admire sweeping views of the Aegean Sea, stop at ancient and medieval ruins, and break for a scrumptious barbecue lunch in the refreshing shade of pines.
The province of Aydin is where Dilek National Park is based. Look through the open top of your 4x4 vehicle as your driver takes you along the Soke Highway to the park, which is snuggled in between two towns.
Covering about 68 acres, the park has much to offer in terms of activities, such as hikes to jaw-dropping vantage points and picnics in the Flora Biogenetic Reserve Area, where various flower and plant species can be found. For the Mediterranean, the botanic quality is very impressive here.
Before you feast on a meal prepared especially for you, dig out your camera and traipse along the park’s paths in the direction of the Byzantine castle. Built in the 15th century, it is aged and consists mostly of ruins, as does the old monastery you’ll discover.
A dip in the waters at Long Beach will be all-too tempting after you tour Zeus’ Cave. The birthplace of the king of the ancient Greek gods, Zeus, legend has it that he used to bathe inside with any beautiful women that would join him.
Turkey’s Diverse Climate: A Living Environment for Various Wildlife Species
The shoreline of Turkey has a subtropical climate, whereas the Anatolian Plateau has a drier climate. With diverse climate profiles, it’s not surprising that lots of wildlife species are attracted to the country. Large carnivorous animals will roam the land, such as wildcats, jackals and brown bears. Many prey animals can be spotted on a safari, too, including wild boars and gazelle. Five species of the grebe bird are known to flap their wings around Turkey, and the country has many unique animals, like the Jackass Shrew and Central Turkish Mountain Viper!
Pick-up is included from select hotels. Please specify your hotel name and location during check-out. Please meet in the lobby at least 15 minutes before your designated tour time with a printed copy of your voucher.
Take extra precautions to avoid too much exposure to the sun. Even on cloudy days, the UV is stronger than you may think.
You will be walking for about 1 miles, up inclines and over gravel and natural terrain. If you have limited mobility, this tour will be too challenging for you to enjoy and maintain the pace of the group. It is not wheelchair accessible.
