About This Anchorage Tour
Enjoy a series of activities amid Alaska’s summer snow on this tour! A Helicopter ride, a glacier landing, and a dogsled ride will all be part of this experience. Make sure to bring a camera to capture some of the best picture-perfect moments.
Begin this experience as you’re picked up by your guide aboard a comfortable van. You’ll travel along a scenic highway known as the Turnagain Arm from Anchorage towards Girdwood. Complimentary snacks and bottled glacier water will be available aboard the van to enhance your experience.
Once you arrive in Girdwood, get ready to experience Alaska from the skies as you board a helicopter for a 15-minute flight. You’ll glide past glaciers and the Chugach Range’s stunning mountain peaks. Your pilot will then land the helicopter on a glacier and you’ll have about an hour and a half to interact with Alaskan Husky puppies. Then, get ready for an unforgettable experience as you take a one-hour dogsled ride with members of Mitch Seavey’s Kennel, a champion of the great Iditarod dogsled race.
For the sled ride, you’ll be supplied with waterproof layers and over-boots to go over your shoes. An expert guide will also be on site to assist you during this experience. After your adventure on the snow is done, hop back on the helicopter for a ride back to base.
Please make your way to 515 W 4th Avenue, Anchorage.
There are some great views seen along your drive. If taking pictures from the vehicle, turn your flash off, set your camera on manual focus, use the fastest shutter speed possible, and zoom as far as you can.
Your tour includes waterproof outer-layers (jacket & pants) as well as over-boots to go over your sturdy walking shoes.
You must be able to step into and out of the mini coach, helicopter, and sled cart without assistance.
