      About This Anchorage Tour

Begin this sightseeing experience from Anchorage. Travel south through the snowy roads of Seward Highway along the Turnagain Arm, a waterway that leads into the northwestern part of the Gulf of Alaska. You’ll ride aboard a comfortable van equipped with large windows which allow for some of the best views of this scenic highway.

As you travel south, your expert driver-guide will share informative commentary about the area and answer any questions you may have about Alaska. Your experience on the road will include stops at wild and scenic vantage points along the way. Keep an eye out for animals as you admire some of the best views. Then, continue your experience as you drive straight through a mountain towards the seaside town of Whittier. The Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel is over two miles long and carved straight through the rock, allowing you to travel from Portage Valley to Prince William Sound.

Next take to the sea and navigate the shoreline through the glacier carved fjords of Prince William Sound. You’ll travel to Blackstone Bay, where Blackstone Glacier and Beloit Tidal Glacier calve into the sea. Watch for resident seals, eagles, and sea otters in this beautiful natural bay. Your captain will also stop along a nearby beach where you can experience the beauty of an untouched wilderness and learn about the Chugach National Forest. A deli lunch is included to enjoy during the boat tour, along with hot beverages, water, and snacks to keep you warm and energized for this adventure. Enjoy sailing for about three hours before returning back to shore.
