      On this experience you’ll travel along a scenic highway, view Alaska’s wilderness from the top, and visit a conservation center home to some of Alaska’s most cherished animals. With so many things to do and see in just one day, you’ll be entertained from beginning to end. Don’t forget to bring a camera along to capture some of the best picture-perfect moments along the tour.  

      Begin this experience by traveling from downtown Anchorage through Seward Highway. Along the journey you’ll discover why this road is classified as a National Scenic Highway, as you pass the Turnagain Arm waterway. Then, continue the tour by boarding an aerial tram on Mt. Alyeska. From the top you’ll enjoy stunning panoramas of the Alaskan wilderness. This vantage point also allows you to see glaciers and the foothills of the Chugach Mountains.  

      The next activity on this tour will take you to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. This rescue center is home to bears, a herd of musk oxen, bison, moose, elk, caribou, and more. Take some time to explore this facility and view these creatures in their natural habitat. Before wrapping up this experience, delight on an authentic meal at a local restaurant located in Girdwood.
