About this Boston, Massachusetts tour
Make an entrance that's straight out of a classic MGM movie as you step aboard the glamorous Odyssey. You'll get a kick out of an afternoon spent cruising Boston Harbor, toasting the sights, and listening to live music. You might even take a turn on the dance floor. Just remember, it takes two to tango, so be sure to invite your favorite dancer.
On board, find a front-row seat to the spectacle that is the Boston skyline. Once the Odyssey is underway, you'll gaze out on all of the city's magical sights topped by the Prudential and Hancock Towers as the Odyssey glides across the harbor, past Castle Island, and out to the Boston Light. Of course, the only complement needed to take in this view is an expertly mixed cocktail from the Wave Bar.
Backstage, the Odyssey's executive chef and galley staff is whipping up a star-studded banquet, complemented by a stellar supporting wine list. Sample from a seasonal array of seasonal appetizers, hors d'oeuvres, entrees and desserts. Sway along to the tunes handpicked by award-winning DJs before the curtain falls on this unforgettable day on the water.
The legend of Castle Island - creepy even by Poe standards
Did Edgar Allan Poe find the inspiration for The Cask of Amontillado while serving as a private on Boston Harbor's Castle Island? It could be that Poe heard the local legend about the unpopular officer who was walled up alive in the dungeon after he killed another officer in a duel. Today Castle Island's a pretty spot for views and a tour of Fort Independence but if anyone wants to take you to the dungeon, just say no.
