For as long as we've been around, humans have been obsessed with flight.

The Ancient Greeks. Leonardo da Vinci. The Wright Brothers. Notable figures in history have been coming up with new ways to fly for thousands of years.

Now enjoy your own flight, beginning on a sleek parasailing boat where you'll learn what to expect and get instruction from certified, experienced crew members.

Once you're ready, it begins: Your tow rope gets longer, while the boat and people on it get smaller.

Take a look around: You're now a couple of hundred feet above the water. Your feet dangle freely as the gentle ocean breezes direct your sail on the whims of the Caribbean winds.

It's calm up here, so be sure to take some time to ponder all of the beauty around you with a clear head: you'll be able to see panoramic views of the harbor, Mallory Square, and much of the city proper.

Now you too can claim participation in the awesome experience of flight that has captivated the human imagination for so long. So go ahead, post that to your Facebook!

      Bootcamp With a View

Parasailing isn't just an exciting recreational activity in tropical paradise. In World War II, American paratroopers used parasails to train for water landings in Europe. A few decades later, early NASA astronauts used parasailing exercises to prepare themselves to move around comfortably in space.
