When you’re ready to escape the buzz and party atmosphere of the Strip, the Desert Princess is the ship for you. You’ll get picked up right from your hotel by a spacious motorcoach with panoramic windows, letting you start the sightseeing as soon as the tour begins. Your first stop is the world-famous “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign, built in 1959. You’ll get the chance to snap a photo at this iconic landmark that symbolizes Sin City like none other.
After that, it’s off to Lake Mead. Less than an hour away from Vegas, this 247-square-mile manmade reservoir is the largest in the country, a product of the Hoover Dam’s interruption of the flow of the mighty Colorado River. The lake is surrounded on all sides by the reddish-brown hills and sprawling sky of the southern Nevada desert.
Your vessel, the Desert Princess paddlewheel boat, was built to travel this water. You’ll be free to move about any of its three observation decks, visit the Captain’s Bridge, or simply relax and enjoy the gentle ride. A delectable, full-course dinner is served based on your preferences, and you’re free to purchase a refreshing adult beverage to enhance the relaxation.
It’s an experience crafted for easygoing comfort and peaceful fun, a reminder that Vegas has much more to offer than vibrant casinos and neon lights.
