About this New York tour
Soulful music, a delicious buffet, and exquisite views of the most iconic city in the world, all from the largest outdoor patio deck on NY Harbor. Can we get an Amen?
If the sounds of contemporary gospel music don't get your hands clapping and feet stomping as you cruise the tranquil waters, the buffet of culinary delights and full service bars will. You'll thank the gods above as you feast your eyes (and mouth) on a buffet of mixed field greens, creamy potato salad, herb-baked chicken, roast salmon and tilapia, baked mac and cheese, rice, veggies, and sinful desserts. No worries, everyone is weightless on the water.
So what will you see? All the sights that will give you a bite of the Big Apple's spirit and heritage. Feel a sense of pride as you look up at the greatest symbol of freedom, the Statue of Liberty, standing 305 feet tall to welcome all to her great land. Go back in time at the Intrepid Sea, Air Space Museum, home to a real, American-guided missile submarine, the fastest plane in the world, and the centerpiece of it all, the USS Intrepid. Then imagine what it was like to be one of the 12 million immigrants sailing for months on an overcrowded ship as you pull up to the beautiful sight of the promised land, Ellis Island.
Snap back to the present and you may forget, for just a second, that you're in one of the most famous cities in the world as you get whisked away by the inspiring sound of gospel and the beautiful landscapes and gardens of Battery City Park, the splendor of Governor's Island, and the culture of South Street Seaport. This tour is as much a journey for your eyes as it is your soul.
Why did the elephant cross the bridge?
The Brooklyn Bridge opened in 1883, connecting Brooklyn to Manhattan for the first time. This was a big deal. A REAL BIG deal. It was the world's longest suspension bridge, so naturally there were concerns about its strength. P.T. Barnum decided to prove its strength and promote his circus. He and his star, Jumbo, courageously led 21 elephants across the bridge. As he made it across safely, perhaps he mouthed a silent "Amen."
