San Diego is known for 70 miles of beautiful beaches and mild temperatures. Be transported to the top of Mt. Soledad, 822 feet above sea level. There, you will be treated to a spectacular 360 degree panoramic view of San Diego and the Pacific Ocean. Then, descend into La Jolla, “The Jewel” of San Diego, past the Cove and the famous Children’s area, where the seals and sea lions basque in the sun, and into the heart of the Village, where you will have time to independently explore Paradise by the sea!
Your journey continues through Windansea Beach, Pacific Beach and Mission Beach before returning back to Old Town.
Throughout the tour, you’ll see rocky cliffs and sandy beaches, reefs and tide pools, seals and surfers, and lots of happy people enjoying the best that Southern California has to offer.

The beach in La Jolla is shared in many places with the wildlife. You'll need to climb down designated paths and stairways to reach the water. There is some sand and fabulous tide pools to explore. Lifeguards are generally on duty but the tide can be strong and the water a bit chilly.
Free parking is available at Old Town State Park. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Special events and traffic conditions may cause delays or detours.
Walking is at your own pace and the amount is at each person’s discretion. Accessibility in La Jolla is very good but not all areas can be fully explored by wheelchair. If you need assistance, have a companion accompany you. Trolley is not accessible.
