About this San Francisco tour
Discover why California has become one of the top wine producing regions in the world on this delicious tour! Travel to California Wine Country for a behind-the-scenes glimpse at how some of the best wines are grown, produced, and manufactured. You will even be able to enjoy a few glasses of wine along the way!
You will travel northward aboard a comfortable, air conditioned motor coach. You will go on a tour of two of the top valleys where wine reigns, Sonoma and Napa. When you arrive at Sonoma, enjoy a savory glass at Nicholson Ranch Winery during your guided tour; they are known for their naturally-harvested grapes that are carefully aged in French oak barrels for three years.
At Napa Valley, get a guided tour of the exclusive Madonna Estate, where four generations of the Bartolucci family have cultivated grapes. Next, go on a guided tour of Sutter Home Winery, known for their high-quality wines at affordable prices. Enjoy a wine tasting at each of these locations.
During your wine country experience, you will also learn the fascinating history of how the region came to be synonymous with vineyards; this dates back to the era of Spanish missionaries who tenderly brought grapevines from Europe. Get an opportunity to see how the best grapes are delicately selected, crushed, blended, and bottled for optimal flavor.
