About this Tampa, Florida tour
GoBe chill, mon! Come aboard the Calypso Queen and leave your worries behind for the afternoon. From the moment you step onto the gangplank, you'll be transported to a floating island retreat, if only for a couple of hours.
Picture yourself on the deck, tropical drink in hand, swaying to the beat of a Caribbean jam and the gentle rocking of the Calypso Queen. What better way to take in a beautiful day!
Home to some of the most pristine beaches in the country, Clearwater can be best appreciated cruising from its harbor. From the open-air observation deck or the cool comfort of the two enclosed decks, you can soak in the beauty of Clearwater.
The seaside town certainly lives up to its name. Its Gulf waters are pristine and crystal clear as the name promises. Ideal for spotting dolphins swimming alongside the boat. Maybe you'll catch one or two showing off and jumping out of the water. Clearly, the carefree, playful vibe of the Calypso Queen is infectious!
What's in a name?
Does Clearwater really have crystal-clear waters? Believe it. The moniker is literally derived from the Native American Indian "Pocotopaug," meaning "clear water," an homage to the ample fresh springs located near City Hall and downtown. Luckily, your destination boasts by-and-large clear skies, too, averaging a remarkable 361 days of sunshine every year. In fact, Clearwater holds the record for consecutive sunny days at 768. Brilliant.
