      About this Washington, DC tour

For a fantastic night, take the Spirit of Washington DC Dinner Dance Cruise. Your night will be filled with city sights, harbor lights, as well as dining and dancing. As you are escorted to your candlelit table, revel in being pampered.

Enjoy a cocktail, beer, or wine at the cabaret-style seating as you relax. Or take your drink topside and explore the ship before dinner.

Our Grande Buffet includes options to please every palate, including vegan and gluten-free dishes. Your meal starts with an array of salads. Then try one or more of our entrees, including herb-roasted chicken and baked ziti. But make sure you save room for seasonal fruit, cookie, or brownie.

Perfectly paced dinner music accompanies your meal and the ship's huge panoramic windows offer you incredible views of the National Harbor, Washington Monument, and Capitol Dome, spectacularly lit at night. After your meal, stroll on one of our climate-controlled observation decks and take in the beauty of this historic harbor.

Then get your dancing shoes ready. We play a variety of music, from classic tunes of the past, to the hottest hits of today. And if dancing's not your jam, you can still have a good time just relaxing to the music. When your three-hour voyage is over, you'll feel refreshed and rejuvenated.

      Monument to squabbling

You may notice that the Washington Monument, one of the sights on this dinner cruise, has stones made of two different colors. That's because construction stopped in 1856 due to a fight with the Know-Nothings political party. When construction resumed in 1876, the stones came from a different quarry. They looked the same at the time, but aged differently. Just goes to show that even national monuments are built on controversy.
