Iguazu Falls, Argentina
- Iguazu National Park: Home to Iguazu Falls, one of Argentina's greatest natural beauties, this park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Surrounded by the subtropical jungle, it offers gorgeous views.
- Walk the path and catwalk: Here you can observe native plant and animal life such as monkeys and colorful parrots, plus see the massive falls from its base.

About this Iguazu Tour
Both Brazil and Argentina have national parks that celebrate the beauty of Iguazu Falls. While Argentina has most of the property and the falls, some people agree that the Brazilian side has the most spectacular views. Why not see for yourself as you cross the border and visit what Brazil has to offer? It's sure not to disappoint.
Depart from the Sheraton Iguazu Resort & Spa on the Argentinian side, where you'll take a relaxing drive to the Brazil park. Your guide will describe the unique environment of the area and explain why Brazilian officials worked so hard to create a national park to preserve this delicate ecosystem and maintain the integrity of the river and falls.
While you stroll the trail that leads to the bottom of the Devil's Throat, get "kissed" by the water coming off the powerful cascades. Time permitting, you may even take the pathway that goes underneath the falls, where you will certainly get wet. Be sure to bring a poncho (or purchase one from a nearby vendor). You'll also visit the top of the falls where you'll access photo-worthy panoramas.
The Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls affords a quieter and perhaps even more beautiful vista than the Argentinian side. When you've had your fill of the falls, step aboard an elevator that will whisk you and your group back to the top. As you return to Argentina and the hotel, pat yourself on the back for taking in one of the new natural wonders of the modern world.
A rainbow of love
According to a Guarani legend, girls were sacrificed to the river to appease the Serpent God, M'Boi. One day, when he saw the beautiful young woman, Naipi, he desired her as his own. But she was in love with Taruba, a warrior from a neighboring tribe. The two lovers tried to escape, but M'Boi transformed Naipi into a rock and Taruba into a tree, separating them with the massive falls you see today. Despite M'Boi's efforts to keep the lovers apart, the constant rainbow over the falls signifies their undying love.
