Natal Dune Buggy and Lagoon Adventure

      Natal, Brazil
From (USD) $355 Per Person (Based on 2)
      • Ride the dunes: Race across the windswept, golden-sand dunes of Rio Grande de Norte in a three-person buggy. You even get to choose how wild a ride you want.
      • Pitangui Lagoon: More dunes but here you can slide down them into a freshwater lagoon. This awesome mini-resort has a zip-line, kayaking, snorkeling, and more.
      • World's largest cashew tree: Certified by the Guinness Book, this two-acre monster is the size of 70 normal cashew trees and yields about 60,000 nuts a year.
      • Great photo ops: Shoot selfies with camels and donkeys on the dunes. Pose by the turrets of Three Wise Men Fort, founded on Christmas, 1599. Cross a river with your buggy on a wooden raft.
      About this Natal tour

There are two ways you can take this tour: com emocandatilde;o and sem emocandatilde;o. What's the difference? Oh, about 15,000 heartbeats per minute.

Sem emocandatilde;o means "no emotion," which means everything's under control as you soak in the sighs at a relaxed, leisurely pace. Com emocandatilde;o, meaning "with emotion," is a jolt of pure adrenalin as you fly over the sand dunes of Jenipabu at daredevil speeds. This like careening along in a roller coaster with no tracks and no one manning the switch.

Actually, you can play it both ways throughout this tour.

Sem emocandatilde;o will have you gently walking into the waters of Pitangui Lagoon for a tranquil dip. Com emocandatilde;o is when you splash in via aerobunda (zip-lining), then come back up to try it skibunda (sand-boarding). The placid donkeys and camels of the dunes are the very model of sem emocandatilde;o.

      See the difference?

The thing is, either way is okay. Com emocandatilde;o or sem emocandatilde;o, you'll see beautiful beaches, cannons aimed out over the Atlantic at a historic fort, a world-record-holding tree, lagoons, 4,000 acres of dunes, and more.

That's a lot of emocandatilde;o in one tour.

      We're nuts for a 1,000-year-old tree

Guinness declared it "the World's Largest Cashew Tree" in 1994. Due to some sort of genetic mutation, the tree's branches grow outward instead of upward, and over the centuries it's reached a circumference of 1,600 feet, producing 2.5 tons of cashews a year. But beware of the orange caterpillars andshy;andndash; they're fluffy and beautiful, but you'll be sorry if you touch one.
