      About This Cartagena Tour

Embark on a night of wine, song, and culinary delights in Cartagena's Old Town, where your evening officially begins with a photo session by the Plaza de la Aduana Clock Tower, once the main gate into the walled city and today Cartagena's most famous landmark.

You'll board a horse-drawn carriage and cruise down the cobbled streets taking in the beauty of the restored Spanish Colonial architecture, as well as the tree-laden plazas and bustling cafes. Old Town is full of historic buildings and monuments, like the 17th-century Metropolitan Cathedral and the statue of Simon Bolivar erected in 1896 in the plaza that shares his name. Your driver will point out all the landmarks as you clip-clop your way through this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The scent of sea air gives way to the aroma of spices and Colombian cuisine as your carriage arrives at one of Cartagena's premier dining establishments. Depending on the night's menu, you're in for treats like grilled octopus, snapper with shrimp and hot sauce, filet of grouper, grilled Brangus steak, beef in spearmint, or marinated chicken. All along you'll enjoy memorable music and song performed by some of Cartagena's best musicians – lively accompaniment to your nocturne under the stars.

      Many cooks in the kitchen

Food in Cartagena has a way of surprising those who try it for the first time. The culinary nuances originate in the abundant fresh seafood and tropical fruits found here, which serve as the foundation for the cuisine. But what truly sets it apart is the blend of cultures – Spanish, African, Caribbean, and indigenous – that have added a pinch of this, and a dash of that, to recipes that have been evolving for centuries.
