      Argentina-side Iguazu Falls Experience

      Iguazu Falls, Brazil
From (USD) $105 Per Person (Based on 2)
      • Naturally wonderful: Argentina houses about two-thirds of the Iguazu Falls, one of the most impressive waterfalls on the globe as well as one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.
      • Devil's Throat: All aboard the Ecological Jungle Train to your destination at the base of the Devil's Throat, hands-down the tallest water curtain in Iguazu Falls' 275 cascades.
      • National Park: In addition to Iguazu Falls, this protected area is home to a lush rainforest and a menagerie of animals, including toucans, jaguars, monkeys, and 450 bird species.
      About this Iguazu Falls Tour

"Poor Niagara." That's what the late U.S. First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt had to say after getting an eyeful of Iguazu Falls. And she wasn't joking. This massive system of 275 waterfalls spans over 1.6 miles wide and stands almost twice as tall as Niagara. These awe-inspiring features have placed Iguazu Falls firmly on many travelers' bucket lists…and on the New Seven Wonders of Nature list.

Likely the only person in history unimpressed by the falls was Gregorio Lezama, the original owner of the land. He actually sold it at auction with an understated sign reading, "Rainforest area surrounded by many waterfalls." Fortunately, the Argentine government did see the value of the area and declared it a national park in 1934, protecting one of the country's richest biodiversity hotspots.

So enjoy the view out your window as you cross the Tancredo Neves Bridge over the Iguazu River into Argentina and follow a scenic highway into Iguazu National Park. After a stop in the Nature Interpretation Center, you'll proceed to the Upper Circuit. From your perch above the waterfalls, you'll capture dizzying vertical views and panoramas. Next stop: the Lower Circuit, but don't lower your expectations. You'll witness the power of falling water in the crash zone.

Now, the moment you've been waiting for. You'll board the open-air Ecological Jungle Train to sweep you away to the Devil's Throat. This water curtain is the tallest and most menacing of the Iguazu Falls system with millions of gallons of liquid plunging into a mysterious, mist-enshrouded abyss. Don't worry, there's no extra charge for the goosebumps you're sure to get.

      Romantic rainbow

According to Guarani legend, Iguazu Falls was created by M'Boi, a serpent god. Seems he had a thing for Naipi, a pretty girl engaged to a fierce warrior in a neighboring tribe. During the couple's attempt to escape M'Boi on the Iguazu River, the spurned serpent split the earth open then turned Naipi into a stone and her fiance into a palm tree on opposite sides of the new watery void. But, every once in a while, a rainbow sweetly reunites Naipi with her boy-frond. Awww.
